Enhancing English Language Communication Skills with CLT and E-Learning Tools Among Swahili Medium Schools
This is a one-year US Embassy funded program through the Public Diplomacy Small funds scheme.
AfrEd will support the government initiative by implementing a training project that will provide 100 teachers in public schools with tools, skills and resources to implement the new curriculum and English syllabus. AfrEd is aware that the Ministry of Education is making deliberate efforts to train teachers on how to implement the new syllabus. E-comm will work with the Bagamoyo District Education Department to identify schools and teachers.
AfrEd will also use Information Communication Technology (ICT) tools in training and support teachers to locate useful online resources for teaching and learning. This is an important aspect suggested in the English syllabus
