Inspiring Change: Bagamoyo Teachers Discover New Opportunities in Education

AfrEd recently took 40 English teachers from Bagamoyo on an exciting visit to the U.S. Embassy in Tanzania. This learning experience opened doors to new teaching methods, especially learner-centered approaches and the use of technology in the classroom. Teachers also learned and explore various educational and exchange programs supported by the U.S. Embassy, many of which are designed specifically for teachers to enhance their skills, networks, and global exposure to support their professional growth.

By equipping educators with modern teaching approaches and digital tools, AfrEd is working to build a stronger, more inclusive, and future-ready education system. We believe that when teachers are inspired and empowered, they become catalysts for lasting change in their communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the U.S Embassy in Tanzania for their generous funding and continued support of the E-Comm Project, and for believing in the power of teachers to shape a better future.

Together, we are building a better Africa through education.
